Wall Street

Last week, I went to New-York on a school trip. During the first day, my friends and I walked on Wall Street. We didn’t have much time to look at its special things so we went directly to the principal attraction which was the New York Stock Exchange. When I arrived there, excited and curious, I wasn’t disappointed.

The main stock exchange looked antic and even if we were late, I took at least five minutes to look at the wonderful building. I couldn’t believe that the financial superiority of New-York City was mainly coming from this skyscraper. Sadly, our group needed to go and I didn’t have the opportunity to see it again because it was the only time we had to go around the city. This is one of the few things I didn’t like about the trip: we did not have enough time in South Street Seaport and that’s why I can’t go further on the subject.

In the end, I must say that I really enjoyed the time my friends and I spent on Wall Street. The New-York Stock Exchange really impressed me and I sincerely hope to have the chance to see it again one day. Next time, I would like to go inside the building to see what it looks like.

Life within sports

Sports are more than leisure
They’re more than a way to grow healthy
Being the first to past the finish line
Has always been everyone’s duty

But winning is not the only way to be the winner
We often forget the legitimate essence
Of those sports being on earth for so long

Some of them are rude
Some others are knotty
And others, boring
But in the end, they’re all the same

They’re giving us the option to unwind
To free ourselves of our daily worries
And think nothing but
To shine as we never did

Sports are more than leisure
They’re more than a way to grow healthy
Neither are they just a competition
Or an elementary game

Sports are a way of living

Theater project

I played in a play called Cyrano de Bergerac that takes place in France during the renaissance. This is the story of a “love triangle” between three persons that are completely different: Cyrano de Bergerac, Christian and Roxanne. The main character of the play is Cyrano who’s in love with her pretty cousin Roxanne, just like Christian is. Actually, both of the men are in love with her, but she only does love the young and pretty Christian. The thing is, Christian is not able to talk to women without looking silly. That is why Cyrano will do a pact with the young man: He’ll write the letters for him while he will use his body to charm her. Brief, the two men team up to conquer the heart of Roxanne. I played the main role of the play: Cyrano de Bergerac. I discovered while acting that his is very handsome and skilful with his sword.

I do think that this project was a nice experience for all of the students who acted in a play, especially for me. I’m sure I discovered a talent for that art and I would like to develop it a bit more next year. Further more, this project improved my confidence and that’s why I believe that this was a great opportunity to be myself on the scene. I only have one negative comment about this “activity”: We didn’t have enough time to prepare ourselves for the final representation. I think this is why the cohesion wasn’t always present during some plays. But like I mentioned before, the overall project is very good.

I wouldn’t say I discovered a passion while playing my role, but I wouldn’t say neither that I disliked to act Cyrano de Bergerac. This was a new experience for many students including me. I think I do have a talent in theater if I compare myself to other students in secondary four. Finally, I think I discovered that I can do a good performance even when I’m under pressure! Well, here is a picture of the play Cyrano de Bergerac witch I acted in.

Me

Who am I?

My name is Charles Beaudoin. First of all, I must say something very special about myself: I have a twin. Maybe you’ve already seen him in the school? His name is William Beaudoin and he is in the other language group. I also have an older brother and two sisters: Antoine, Coralie and Rosalie. My youngest sister is Rosalie and she goes at the Juvénat Notre-Dame like me. Coralie and Antoine are both at the college and they are in the same program. My mother’s name is Marie-Josée Bisson and she works at Desjardins. The name of my father is Simon Beaudoin and he’s an accountant.

Now, let’s talk about my liking. I like to travel with my family because I’m always living great moments with her. This summer, I went to Gaspésie for one week and I really enjoyed the trip. The sceneries were wonderful and the sea was always hot. If I have the choice to go back, I will surely say yes! My favourite sport is the badminton but I also like soccer and trampoline. Moreover, I enjoy playing video games with my friends. I like to read fantastic books like Lord of the ring. At school, sciences and physical education are my favourite classes. I don’t like mathematics and Spanish because I have some difficulties in those subjects. One thing that I dislike is to talk about myself because I don’t think the person who read this text is learning something interesting about me and also because I do that every year. On the other hand, I like to talk about my friends. Their names are: Jonathan, Shannon, Daniel, Xavier, Philippe, Thierry, Michael and Louis. They are all funny and I always laugh when I’m with them because they are doing jokes every time. Shannon and Jonathan are two persons I can put my trust in. When I need help, they listen to me and they give me advices to make me feel better. Daniel, Xavier, Louis and Philippe are the comic guys of the gang. They can’t be serious for one minute! Well, that’s why I enjoy being with them

I think that’s all about my person. I hope you learned interesting facts.
